About the Artists
Together, Glenn Woods and Keith Herbrand create handmade one-of-a-kind functional and decorative pottery. Each piece is carefully handmade out of a fine porcelain and finished with a beautiful crystalline glaze.
Keith's work tends to be more functional and features primarily gloss crystalline glazes which are known for their beautiful color range and the zinc silicate crystals that form in the glaze during a very long cooling cycle.
Glenn's work, tends to be a blend of functional and decorative which is generally finished with a matte crystalline glaze. These matte glazes are a little more pastel in color and the crystals smaller and less flashy but the silky smooth surface and the beautiful patterns created by the cascading crystals really compliment
Glenn's work beautifully. These decorative and functional pieces often include influences from nature in the way of gourd-like forms, sprigs that resemble leaves, shells, and driftwood or wooden stems - all made from porcelain.
Their work is sold through an online store and at outside art fairs throughout the Midwest and Florida, click here to check the art fair schedule to see if they will be at an art fair in your area. They are in the Midwest during the spring and summer months and return to their home in Florida for the fall and winter months.
